Public Participation In Developing Countries

[2004] One of the most potentially rewarding aspects of CPTED is its ability to improve the quality of life in poorer communities. In Stephens & Rau 2001 we showed that CPTED concepts could be used in poorer communities with a good deal of success and local acceptance. At its most fundamental CPTED deals with common-sense solutions to practical environmental problems. In doing so, it creates a stable base from which other initiatives can flow.
