Public health and the potential benefits of CPTED
[2007] Crime and public health issues have similar origins and outcomes can be improved using similar approaches (e.g. improving socio-economic conditions and enhancing social capital). The effect of the built environment on crime and public health indicates that its design and modification can be used as an effective planning tool.
