[2004] Chile, as a developing country, has gone through a strong urban development and economical growth, which in turn has brought an explosive urban growth. The strong growth of many cities brings a challenge to urban planners and legislators to create urban conditions that allowed a sustainable development to provide the inhabitants a higher quality of life.
