CPTED, but not as we know it

[2013] Investigation revealed the lack of a universally accepted Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) framework that suggests significant transferability issues and inconsistency. Such terminology, framework and definition conflict was evaluated through an exhaustive literature sample presented in this research. A restructured framework is proposed that allows a better emphasis of the CPTED aims and values. Victoria Gibson presented her research at the 2013 ICA conference in Calgary and has written an article on the issue in 'Security Journal'
